New Aquatics Center becoming a reality!
El Segundo will soon have a new Aquatics Center featuring an Olympic-size competitive swimming pool, a separate warm-water teaching pool, locker rooms and family restrooms, spectator seating with a capacity of over 600 seats, a large full-color LED scoreboard and state-of-the-art timing system. The outdoor complex will be located at the site of the under-construction Wiseburn High School at 201 N. Douglas Street.
In the true spirit of collaboration, this project is becoming a reality thanks to the partnership between the City of El Segundo, Wiseburn Unified School District, non-profit organization South Bay Sports, Health & Recreation, and the many community advocates who never gave up on their dream for an aquatics facility commensurate to the rich history of water sports in El Segundo.
