The El Segundo Recreation, Parks, and Library Department offers high-quality parks and recreation facilities, the El Segundo Library, community service programs, recreation classes, events and activities. The Department is versatile in its service delivery by providing vital public transportation in addition to offering valuable programs and enrichment opportunities for all ages and abilities.

4th of July

Join us for the Annual Fourth of July event located at Stevenson and Softball Field in Recreation Park, El Segundo. The event will include day time and evening time activities. The daytime events start at 10:00am to 3:00pm. Activities include a hula hoop contest, water balloon toss, sack races, and food trucks. There will also be a pie eating contest and watermelon eating contest. The evening events start at 5:00pm to 9:00pm. Activities include live music, food booths, and more!

Wristband sales begin on June 1st through July 3rd and can be purchased at the Clubhouse and Checkout Building in Recreation Park. El Segundo Residents can receive a maximum of 4 free wristbands per adult with an updated 2022 Rec ID Card.

Wristbands are REQUIRED for entry to Softball and Stevenson Fields during evening events, free for children 2 and under.

Stevenson Field: Entry Begins at 5pm

Softball Field: El Segundo Residents blanket seating open at 8am - 9am. Re-entry begins at 5pm.

General Admission - Evening Event

Wristband sales on July 4th are $5 for El Segundo Residents and guest, free for children 2 and under.

Recreation Park Playground will be open until 3pm all other areas for the park (except Softball/Stevenson) will be closed for the celebration.
