The El Segundo Recreation, Parks, and Library Department offers high-quality parks and recreation facilities, the El Segundo Library, community service programs, recreation classes, events and activities. The Department is versatile in its service delivery by providing vital public transportation in addition to offering valuable programs and enrichment opportunities for all ages and abilities.

Candy Cane Lane!

Celebrated every year since 1949, except for 2020, due to the pandemic, Santa Claus will kick off this highly anticipated event on December 9th, as he brings his magic down East Acacia Ave. lighting up decked-out houses and festive holiday displays as he goes!   

Opening Night, Saturday, December 9th  – 7:00 p.m. – Santa Claus will make his appearance, light up houses and displays and then head back up to the North Pole!

Nightly –  Sunday, December 10th – December 23rd from 6:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. - Festive houses, displays and holiday music bring the season's cheer to this magical corner of El Segundo! Santa attends on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.
