The El Segundo Recreation, Parks, and Library Department offers high-quality parks and recreation facilities, the El Segundo Library, community service programs, recreation classes, events and activities. The Department is versatile in its service delivery by providing vital public transportation in addition to offering valuable programs and enrichment opportunities for all ages and abilities.

FREE Compost Giveaway

For the entire month of October, the Public Works Department is providing free finished compost!

Dates: October 1 - 31, 2024

Hours: Daily, 9:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m., while supplies last.

Location: 300 E. Pine Ave., El Segundo. The Compost will be located in roll-off container next to George Brett Field at the northeast corner of Recreation Park.

What Should I Bring? This is a self-haul event, so residents are responsible for bringing their own shovel and bagging compost in their own waste bags, reusable containers, pick-up bed or trailer.
