City of El Segundo / Wiseburn Unified School District Aquatics Center
El Segundo has a new Aquatics Center featuring an Olympic-size competitive swimming pool, a separate warm-water teaching pool, locker rooms and family restrooms, spectator seating with a capacity of over 500 seats, a large full-color LED scoreboard and state-of-the-art timing system. The outdoor complex is located at 2240 E. Grand Avenue. Entrance is off Grand Ave and Duley St.
In the true spirit of collaboration, this project was made possible thanks to the partnership between the Wiseburn Unified School District, the City of El Segundo, and the not-for-profit organization South Bay Sports, Health & Recreation. The latter included many corporate and community advocates who made significant contributions to make this facility come to fruition and commensurate to the rich history of water sports in El Segundo.
Many groups train and practice at the facility, including Alpha Aquatics, Beach Cities Swimming, South Bay United Water Polo, Trojan Water Polo, SCAQ Masters, Coastal Water Polo and Tower 26 Triathlon.
