The Public Works Department strives to deliver the highest quality services to our residents and businesses and continuously improve our constituents' quality of life. We are organized into:

We’re dedicated to maintaining City facilities and public infrastructure and delivering the projects in the City’s Capital Improvement Program (CIP) in a safe, logical, cost-effective manner. Public Works is responsible for the operation and maintenance of about 60 miles of streets and alleyways; 65 miles of water lines and 5,000 water meters; 60 miles of sewer lines; 18 miles of storm drains; 260,000 square feet of buildings; 156 vehicles and the delivery of a $30 million, three-year capital improvement program.
